How can I Import Unity Project and Assets to Unity iPhone?

Hi,

I want to import Unity project and assets to Unity iPhone 1.7, I tried and got bunch of errors. I am pretty sure that it is possible. Looking for help from community.

Thanks and regards,

You can’t just import it and have it work, unfortunately (well, not until Unity 3.0, I believe!) - you have to import it, let it do it’s “conversion” thing, then go through and fix up the errors.

Shouldn’t take you long, though!

I set up a Unity iPhone 1.7 project. Closed Unity iPhone. Copied over my Assets and Library folders from my Unity project. Reopened Unity iPhone and it all worked.

Of course I needed to change the control methods, but it would still build on the phone before that. Maybe I was just lucky. I had made sure I had nothing in the project that I believe doesn’t work on the iPhone version such as Unity generated terrains.

I am new to Unity iPhone, I have downloaded Unity iPhone examples and tried to run it on Unity iPhone and example did not work. I have opened the project such as mpStarTropper.zip in Unity iPhone. Tried to run on iPhone Simulator and it is not working in iPhone Simulator. Need help? Is there a configuration steps those I have to follow to run the project? I am just opening it in Unity iPhone and it is not working…

Thanks,

Can you give any more detail about the errors you are getting?

Also…dont trust the results in the 1.7 iphone editor…

in my scene the lighting is WAY overblown (almost white) ad the physics is very busted.

but once It gets transfered to the ipad the game works as if like unity2.6 version.

Strange but livable.
