So I have a model, we’ll call it player.FBX
The model has an animation in it with a few hundred frames.
I am breaking up that animation into clips. So I have a running clip (frames 20-40) an idle clip (frames 1-15) etc…
Now a artist decides the model needs some updates as well as some more animation clips.
How can I re-import the model and animation without loosing all the work done with the model? I seem to loose all the clips I have already broken up, OR when I REIMPORT it does not see the changes, or new animation. Same with my objects in the Hierarchy. When I replace the model, they Hierarchy gets all confused, and all the positions etc, are lost.
I have to assume people are doing this ALL THE TIME. I have looked through the manuals and tutorials for tips, but I don’t see any. So what’s the best way to deal with updated models and animations?
