how can i make the trail renderer not continue from the same spot after teleporting it

i am currently making a ninja star, and when you shoot it it has a trail but when you shoot it again, it the trail starts from the endpoint of the last trail. how can i fix this.

Disable it before teleporting it then enable it once it’s been teleported.

If it’s parented to an object try:

objectThatTeleporting.GetComponentInChildren().enable = false.

If it’s not parented to a gameobjects:

GetComponent().enable = false.

@Trumped I tried turning off the trail renderer bu tit didmt work, so I guess I have to turn off the whole child. Thanks, I guess that makes sense since the child has the transform component… thanks
