I’m actually curious, why would you want to remove it? I don’t know how but still curious.
too low resolution and too low percentage iphone 3 users from total ios users.
iPhone 3GS runs iOS 6.x. If you don’t support 6.x, you’ll also lose out on iPod Touch 4th gen, as well as anybody who hasn’t upgraded to iOS 7.
Alright so you can’t because by do it by API rather than hardware generations, so you have to support it unless you also want to lose a lot of people. I wish myself I didn’t upgrade to iOS 7. And I still see iOS 6 common and I wish I still had it.
One option for limiting the app compatibility with old devices is adjusting info.plist from Xcode. UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities has some limits that could be used
