Might be a plugin for VisualStudio, or some other extension. I’ve not seen that behavior in the default Unity and Visual Studio setup, but it might be in there and just turned off.

Also, try update the VSCode package inside of Unity: Window → Package Manager → Search for Visual Studio Code Editor → Press the Update button
