How come I often can't double click an error to see where it comes from?

Sometimes I get really annoying errors that just come randomly, probably from a failed conversion to Unity 5, and I double click and it won’t open up Visual Studio (or Mono w/e)!

There’s no hint or indication what app or plugin is causing this. I’m currently cutting 1/2 my files at a time out of the project and pasting it anywhere randomly, seeing if error persists (This ONLY works if error occurs before hitting play or you dig a deeper hole), then CTRL+Z and wait 45 mins to reimport all the assets and continue the trial and error.

Of course it’s my fault that I had an import frenzy, but it would be nice if I could at least find out where this is coming from. Gah… maybe I’m just venting

Well, this depends on what the error is. Some errors such as non-scripting error are self-explanatory and don’t need navigation. Or there is no navigation to navigate to. But it all depends on your error. Please be a LITTLE TINY bit more detailed. Such as the errors you get, etc. and which is navigatable.
