How do I create a new project without the SampleScene and other example stuff?

I’ve spent the last day or so searching the internet for this. None of the ‘create a new template’ solutions I have found work with the latest versions the editor - I get invalid template errors trying to use them.

Just create an empty folder with two other empty folders named “Assets” and “ProjectSettings” in it. Then point Unity Hub to open as if it was a project.

Been using Unity nearly a decade and I never knew this was possible. Wow. That could speed things up a bit when banging out little micro test projects… that’s why I hang out in the forums. Thanks!

I tried this, but it still creates a scene as the root object that has to be saved. I’m trying to create a UI Tooljit UI as the root which then loads whichever scene is needed depending on user import. Something like how the Fort Royale demo does it.

You will have to tell the hub which version of Unity to use to open the project because an empty Unity project is not associated with any Unity version.

i use unity editor 2022.2.2 and it shows that unity is runing as an administartor i click restart as a standart user sane again
