How do I disable a script from inside another script

How do i disable a script when my game starts ?
i have tried many many methods but i have gotten no positive outcome
how can i disable a script called “movement_sctipt” from inside another script .
movement script is attached to my character

You can use:

    GetComponent<movement_script>().enabled = false;

Or in JS

     GetComponent(movement_script).enabled = false;

These work from a component attached to your character.

If you need it from elsewhere then get a variable that references your character and do:

   character.GetComponent<movement_script>().enabled = false;

Or in JS:

character.GetComponent(movement_script).enabled = false;
