Hi everyone.
I did a small search and I couldn’t find any answer.
About special effects, how do I do that ? Should I do it on Blender ? (I heard that there’s no way to import to unity).
Should I use Unity Particle System (How powerful is that?) or there’s another software to do special effects (Witch one?)?
At first I’ll do something small, but I wanna know what’s the best option for small and big things.
Something like fire, lightning, moving swords stuffs. I’m really lost there.
Thanks o/
If there is something that requires many small complex objects such as fire, Particle systems are where its at. I use Blender for modeling 3d objects. Other special effects such as lens flares and and motion blur are built into unity and are easy to make.

Also check into animated sprites and movie textures as well. Particles are great in Unity but they do have limitations. Particles can also be rendered in a 3D package as KingMatthew said, and they can also be rendered as sprites.
And don’t forget to check out the particle assets on the asset store. Just looking at them and the demos, you can learn a lot about how they are constructed.

Thanks guys, you did really help o/
One more quest (I don’t know if I should open a new topic, It may help other), how do I put particles in an animation from blender?
For exemple, I animated a cannon shot in blender, and now I want to add smoke and a explosion, but I don’t know how.
Should I open my model into Unity and than somehow add the explosion?
Thanks again, and if I need to open a new topic, please let me know. o/
Several tutorials cover this workflow. Check around the learn section in tutorials or any youtube video.
I suggest setting up the particle in Unity - yes.
