How do I download Unity 2.x?

My computer's been weird recently and I want to re-download Unity 2. (latest version before 3)

(the free version)

But I can only download Unity 3!!!! Unity 3 only works with Intel Macs, and I PPC!!!

How do I get Unity 2.x?

Look at what the download link is for 3.0.0 and substitute 2.6.1 instead. (Which gets you http://download.unity3d.com/download_unity/unity-2.6.1.dmg.)

And it even works for windows: http://download.unity3d.com/download_unity/UnitySetup-2.6.1.exe

A quick google search for "unity 2.6 download" turned up links such as

http://www.soft32.com/Download/Free/Unity/4-211062-1.html (mac)

http://www.fileshack.com/file.x/15579/Unity+Game+Development+Suite+2.6.0 (pc)

But it might be more relevant to address the issue that is causing your computer to act weird.

Just to be safe I'd avoid downloading Unity from anywhere other than Unity's website.

The only thing I would be concerned about when downloading unity from other websites would be the speed.

I have a Toshiba with Windows 7 and it works just fine with Unity 3. I agree with Atnas that you should look into what is causing the problem with your computer. Scanning for viruses and spyware is a good place to start.

That's not helpful at all given what the question is actually asking.

He said his computer is acting weird. That to me means there may be a problem with said computer. Fixing the problem would at least help with the strange behavior part.
