How do i get backface culling to work with UI Text?

Hello,

I have a UI elements set to world space and they consist of a UI panel with a UI text as a child of the panel. I’ve duplicated the this gameobject and rotated 180 on the y-axis so that I can see the panel on the other side. I’ve found a shader online that can render a UI object on the front side, and it would cull the back side. It doesn’t work with UI text however; when I attach the material with the shader to a UI text, the text doesn’t get rendered.

Shader:

// Upgrade NOTE: replaced 'mul(UNITY_MATRIX_MVP,*)' with 'UnityObjectToClipPos(*)'

Shader "UI/DefaultNoBackface"

I’m not still not familiar with shaders yet, and I’m hoping someone could help

Thanks

Sorry to bump this, but I still can’t render the text despite changing the shader.
Using TMPro.
Shader works, but text is messed up.
