How do i pick up a NavMesh Agent off of the mesh in VR?

I’m working on a VR RTS game that uses NavMesh for the units pathfinding. one of the things I want to be able to do is pick up a unit from the mesh, and be able to set them down at a different location on the mesh, however, the NavMesh Agents don’t want to come off of the mesh. I can move them around on the mesh but they won’t come off. please help

You can try to temporarily disable the NavMeshAgent when you pick it up, then re-enable it when you let go of it. It should snap back to the NavMesh when enabled, if it’s close enough
