So I know what it is needed for and (should) know how to do it in the basics but it won’t work when I try it.
I give the port free on my router for UDP and TCP select my pc as the ip to the request and click done.
I try it out on a diffrent network and boom: Unable to connect.
Is there something in the steps above I forgot or do I need to change something in Unity (I’m using the new Unity provided Multiplayer features)?
I read that I have to open the firewall on this port on windows but adding the rule to incoming doesn’t change anything when hosting on my home network.
I tried to find solutions to this problem but could only find tutorials that said what I had already done. If someone with more knowledge could explain to me this in detail I would be happy
It is virtually impossible to guide you because we don’t see your setup and every router is different, we can’t know all of them.
Check out this site, it contains guides virtually every type of routers: https://portforward.com/
