Hi, thanks for taking a look at my question. We have built a small community in Cinema 4d, and imported it sucessfully into Unity. At the moment all of the buildings are plain cube and rectangular shaped objects. We want to add the images of the buildings as normal photo images in Unity, we tried to put the image texture on the object by placing the image in the assets folder and dropping it on the object but it didn’t work. Now we are unsure what to do. Please help us we are new!
have you uv mapped your models?
no we haven’t done that. we just made the buildings in cinema 4d using objects, then imported them into unity.
you’ll need to do that then - i don’t know if c4d has a similar command but in blender i can auto uv map - it comes out like junk but for quick tests its great if you don’t want to spend the time getting everything perfect yet.
