How do I save my project?

I am completely new, and the tutorials I have found do not explain saving outside of Ctrl+S.
so what do I do?

As stated in the documentation, File > Save Project

Are you actually trying to save your project, or are you trying to save the current scene you have open? Because there is a difference and the screenshot you’ve shared is clearly saving a scene file.

I’m not sure what that crazy hash is for the directory name your Assets folder is located within, but that error message seems to me like you’re trying to save to a location inside a zip file, or maybe a directory your user account doesn’t have permission to write to?
