so i had to install a new copy of unity to upgrade, but now that i have the old and the new how do i uninstall the old without taking the new with it?
If it’s windows, go and find your old unity version directory and go into the Editor directory, click on the uninstall.exe which will only remove that version.
For macs, go and delete the .app which would be your old version.
