How do MMORPG´s save Data using MYSQL?

Hello, I am sorry if that question was already answered somewhere else, I couldn´t finde one :slight_smile:

So now to my question, I am trying to make a MMORPG (I know it´s difficult but i just want to learn new things) and I wondered how do I save all the Informations like Stamina,Mana,Life etc. I think we just save it through MYSQL over a PHP File but how do we get those Informations back and how do we update the Informations constantly? By checking the Informations in MYSQL everytime the Player loses for example lifepoints?

I tryed my best to explain that, it was very difficult I hope you understand what I mean and I also hope that someone has a Answer to my Question.

You might make an ORPG this way, but never an MMORPG.

In order o get massive scale you need a real backend server system. Additionally, just pushing data back and forth from your database through a PHP based web interface is about as insecure as you could ever possibly get.

Real MMORPGs have highly sophisticated back end systems which are as much or more programming as the client.
