How do they make vectorized animations / dynamic meshes in LocoRoco?

I always wondered. What is the starting point to get the same effect
with generating levels like Locoroco?

Do they make all meshes in a 3d program like blender and animate it? Or is it possible
to make such reactive meshes at runtime? I would’nt know where to start :open_mouth:

This cannot be textures I guess because its animating so smoothly.

Look up soft body dynamics. Floor is Jelly uses the same technique (great game). Never played Locoroco, but looks fun…
