I was watching Brackeys tutorial on how to create glow around objects in unity using URP where you create a Global Volume and add bloom. But this adds glow of only one colour around all objects. I was wondering if anyone could guide me towards how to create glow using bloom that makes different coloured objects glow different colours according to their colour. I have attached a photo to show that there is only one colour that all objects glow; white.
I’m not familiar with that tutorial, or using Bloom with Unity 2D games, but the all white is not what you would expect from off the shelf Bloom post processing. Something went wrong with the setup, if Bloom even works with 2D in Unity. I would try:
- Reduce the intensity, it could be that the white is just blown out color values
- Try enabling HDR on your camera and pipeline settings, but again, I don’t know if that works with 2D
