Hi,
My shader skills are ok but not brilliant and i’m trying to work out the easiest/cleanest way to create a sky that will simulate a day cycle. There are sky assets in the asset store but would like to do it myself.
I went to the Unity docs and it’s not too detailed. It talks about skyboxes and then sky shaders with cubemap, 6 sided, procedural, etc.
Would def appreciate a pointer in the right direction.
Thx
The time you waste trying to create your own day/night cycle system, and its performance, isnt helping your project/goal. There are many great day/night systems on the asset store that will save you much more time. As Unity Docs, and video tutorials, are very vague. You can improve your “shader skills” during other facets of your project.
Timeframe is always a big thing with projects. If you can use an asset to save time, do it. YOU have to decide the workflow of your project…
