How do you enter unicode characters in the Inspector

Does anyone know how to enter unicode characters in the Inspector?

Bump … anyone?

On OS X, you just type characters as usual. Not sure about Windows.

Thanks for the reply Eric.

Unfortunately I’m using Windows, so does anyone know how to enter unicode into the Inspector under Windows?

In the absence of someone else who knows better than I do responding to my question, it appears that no simple method for inputting Unicode characters directly in to the Inspector on Windows exists.

The method of entering Unicode characters by typing <numpad +> does not work as the key is being captured by the Unity editor’s Scene View navigation controls, thereby preventing the rest of the Unicode sequence from being recognised and interpreted correctly.

I have discovered that it is possible to enter Unicode into another application, such as Wordpad, Open Office Writer, or the “Character Map” utility that comes pre-installed with Windows, and then copy and paste the Unicode characters into the Inspector.
