How do you make VFX Graph particles project decals on a skinned mesh?

Okay I’m asking for a friend who’s too shy to post apparently.

But they’re trying to get blood splatter decals on a skinned mesh where the particles paint decals.

You have a video where goo decals are painted on surfaces, and in the template a sample where decals spawn on a skinned mesh.

But there’s no example where particles collide with a skinned mesh and paint decals that stick to it.

they just need to be pointed in the right direction.
