Hi I was wondering if it’s possible to transfer an animated biped from 3ds max to Unity. The reason is that i have animation and the model has been modelled from a biped but when i import it into unity the animation is there but the model isn’t.
Many thanks.
yes, just find the .fbx exporter for your version of Max (sorry I don’t have a link, just google it) and use that. Great success (once you get your export settings honed
but that’s a different forum topic.)
Uh, I am quite sure max comes with an fbx exporter by default.
Yeah Max does come with fbx exporter and thats what im using, but when importing a biped into Unity it disappears, but if i delete the COM of the biped in max therefore no longer a biped, it imports fine.
Try updating your FBX exporter to latest (something like FBX 2011.3).
Thanks for the info guy’s. Iv figured out how to do it. All I did was snapshot the biped as a mesh and then linked the mesh to the bones. I dont no if there’s an easier way but this way works for now.
