How does one create objects within unity but only showing outline

I’ve been looking into this recently, and am very keen on prototyping a game with graphics similar to that of Rez, basicly outlines of shapes, in a neon glow.

From what I can tell within Unity the Line Renderer does a similar thing, but I’m having trouble grasping it as, it seems very simple and designed for one line?! If I’m missing somethingw ith Line renderer and there is a tutorial out there please link me to it.

Any ideas how I could go about this would be very welcome.

Take a look at the toon shader in the standard assets, there is an outline shader if I remember correctly. It’s probably not hard to extrapolate from that.
