How many people are a one man show?

I kinda wonder how many people who come on here do the following:

  1. Come up with the idea for the game
  2. Design the game
  3. Produce the game content (levels/maps/procedural settings)
  4. Finish game, polish it up

From start to finish.

I don’t care if you don’t produce all of the art assets or code… But do you make all the hard decisions and take responsibility for the end product.

Basically are you the lead designer, even if you are just a solo hobbyist?

I’ll add myself to the list.

And yes you are the lead designer even if your a solo hobbyist, because no one else will be lead for you.

Actually I have a winter hat that fills the role - I’m blaming Phoenix the Chicken on said hat. Given that I live in Texas, it’s not like it has anything else to do.

For some reason I had a vision of that talking Sorting Hat in that Harry Potter movie the kids were so excited about years ago. lol

Raises hand - 9 solo titles over 5 years. Some income, 200k users, plus led me to where I am now, in my day job.

I’m working on it. Soon.

Yup

Only thing I don’t do myself is SFX, which I usually just pull out from an audio library I’ve purchased, I can do minor tweaking and enhancement of the clips but that’s as far as my knowledge goes with audio tools.

We’re all individuals

Did everything myself too…well everything apart of music which I have no talent for =O

Looks pretty amazing. ( Btw, streamlined is spelt incorrectly on your webpage)

Thanks for the kind words!

Oops…cheers for pointing it out…I’ll make sure to fix that this weekend =O

Congrats on the follow through on that job. You worked long and hard on that goal, kept the faith.
