How much memory a GameObject consume?

Hello all!

I’m wondering if anyone can help me with a question. I have a Cube (many of them) with a Texture (30k) but this texture is shared with all cubes (about 1000).

So I need to set the “rendering distance” to have a good memory utilization in my game, but I need to know how much memory a GameObject (Cube) uses…

I think I consome less then 30k, because the texture is loaded once and shared, but if anyone know a approach value, I would be glad :slight_smile:

The answer to the question in your subject is GameObjects use almost no memory on their own. Things you add to them do, such as mesh components, texture references etc.

The rest is highly dependent on your game. You should use a profiller.
