How to achieve a Photoshop-like stroke with Text Mesh Pro?

I am trying to achieve something similar to this design:

However, the closest I can get is:

This is done using the TMP outline. I believe the main problem is that the outline is being added both inside and outside of the letters. Is there a way to control that and achieve the same design as in PS?
