Has anyone had success in importing & animating Toon Big 5 Lion | Daz 3D?
My understanding is any motion file in Unity can be mapped to any character via the Animation Controller.
I’ve successfully imported this Toon Big 5 Lion from Daz into Unity but cannot get it to animate i.e. use the lion motions (e.g. Lion Motions Pack @ Unity Asset Store - The Best Assets for Game Making ).
Any tips would be greatly appreciated,

If you haven’t already - it would be extremely helpful for you to read through the documentation and Animation learn section.
Any humanoid animation that matches the hierarchy of the standard Unity humanoid rig can be retargeted onto any other humanoid rig.
Since the lion is not humanoid - If this lion model/rig comes with animations - best to just set it to generic rig setup, unless you want to fiddle with legacy.
Edit: Sorry didn’t completely answer your question. The lion model/rig will have to match the exact bone hierarchy as the lion animation rig from the asset store. Then all the bone names have to match also. There are some other incidental requirements to be able to retarget generic animations onto other generic rigs, but - unless the hierarchy matches exactly, and the bone names are the same - those incidental requirements don’t matter.
If you luck out and the bone hierarchy is exactly the same in the model/rig and animations - search the forum for the rest of the information on getting the motions to work on the daz lion.
It isn’t a trivial matter, but good luck.
Thank you for your reply, pointer & “checklist”.
