How to animate JPEG images of Target Renegade characters for fighting game remake?

Topic.

Downloaded images of Jack, the main character in 80’s scrolling fight 'em up Target Renegade, and an enemy, but how do we duplicate the enemies in Unity and animate them to attack the main character with kicks and punches?

We downloaded the JPEG images and edited them in Blender.

Google sprite animation, there are many tutorials on this. Not sure what your doing in Blender, it’s a 3D rendering app, something in textures I guess. Photoshop, GIMP, or any of your favorite image editing apps are more appropriate for the job. You’ll probably need to turn them into a sprite sheet, maybe they were already.

Also Google spritesheet for more artwork. See OpenGameArt.org for free stuff you can use to make those kind of games.
