How to avoid bad SSAO striping artifacts with Pro water & terrain?

Both with default SSAO settings and with slightly tweaked values I get unsightly striping artifacts on water and terrain:

Anyone know of a workaround to this? Is there a combination of settings with the least amount of artifacts?

Or alternatively, is there a better AO approach for Unity out there?

Note, quality is set to Fantastic and generally all sliders are cranked up, plus as you can see I disabled other camera effects in this shot to show this happens even just with SSAO enabled.

Solved by reducing a too-crazy camera far-plane. As per here.
