I have a free look camera working great out of the box for my third person shooter.
It follows the Player, it LooksAt a position around the neck of the Player and it has the Offset extension to be off to the right of the character. Looks good work well.
Now I want to zoom the camera in to an over the shoulder shot for when they aim their gun. Like this Remnant screenshot shows
I am struggling to make the camera transition perfectly so it will be looking at the exact same position as the first camera and won’t make the character be aiming at a different position.
Is there an existing setting that I can change in the current camera or should I set up another Free Look camera with new settings?
Is that 3rd person aim extension useful here?
Should I use a different Cinemachine camera for this part?
What is the general best way to do this? I’m sure it is a common thing people are doing with Cinemachine but I can’t get the perfect transition to not lose the player aim position.
Thanks
