I have been optimizing the size of my build project, which utilizes URP and Post Processing for some bloom effects. During this process, I discovered that one specific texture, “Packages/com.unity.postprocessing/PostProcessing/Textures/LensDirt/LensDirt03.png”, it has a size of 23 MB. I have been searching for a way to resize or remove this image from my build.
Interestingly, I am not even using it in my global volume settings, so I am unsure why it is present in the final build. Unfortunately, I haven’t found any helpful information in the documentation.
Additionally, since it is in the packages registry, I am unable to delete it or modify directly the compression format. I was able to change the Texture Compression Format to ETC2 in the Player Settings and this seems to change the compression for all textures included in the Packages, now the size is 4 mb but also I would like to resize it or not Include at all this texture in final build.
Do you have any ideas or suggestions on how to handle this issue?
