easy way is just hide mesh and activate current mesh.
=gameobject.setactive(true or false)

It was officially announced that Unity 4.3 will have blend shapes. At the moment it does not exist without 3rd party extensions like MegaFiers. Another option would be to implement it on your own, but if you knew how to code in Unity, you would probably have done that already.
