How to check if someone has download another app of yours?

I’m developing games for both iOS and Android at the moment, and with a few games already on the market with little cross promotion happening between them, I’m thinking of making my own ad system where I advertise my games through interstitial ads.

So here’s the problem. Say a user is inside game A, and they see an advert to download game B. They then download it, and return to game A.

How can I ensure that I don’t advertise game B again?

I’ve thought about creating a URI scheme for each game, and testing to see if I can attempt to load it without actually loading it, get the response, and display the advert if it was unsuccessful.

I have absolutely no idea how to do this part :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s pretty much how you’d do it. There is something about iOS here, and Android here. I haven’t done it before so I didn’t want to just swoop in here and throw you a couple links and call it an answer, but I hope they do help you and/or someone else.

I would just get one of the in-game ad plugins off the Asset store and not worry about it.
