how to check if someone purchased my music?

I was wondering if there is a way to check if someone purchased my assets.
I see a dedicate tab in the asset publisher window but it requires an invoice number.

I try to explain what i have in mind.

I have this “complete” music pack for sale:

and I was thinking about a partial refounding for someone who purchased one of my single packs and then this complete pack, as a sort of discount.

so, if someone contacts me saying that he has bought one or two of my packs and also the complete pack, i would like to verify that he has indeed purchased what he’s claiming, in order to send him some money back through paypal.
So, how can I verify this? should I ask him for the invoice number?

I dont think you can if its through the unity store - as that would be unities accounting system, which you wouldnt have access to do refunds.

I would personally do the refund by transferring money through paypal from my account but i must be sure that the person asking for refund have purchased my assets…

The problem there, is obviously you loosing 30% from unity taking, but then giving the refund, the customer also pays fees of wihch you would need to pay - or maybe they wouldnt expect, with the goodwill of your refund

Steve

Yes. When a customer purchases an asset through the Asset Store, they receive an invoice number(s) from Unity through email. If they give you their invoice number, you can verify the purchase through the publisher interface.

yes, i know.
that’s another problem but i honestly i don’t care about it too much. With paypal, who receives the money pays the fees, it’s not our problem!
my complete pack is about 40% less than buying all the packs one by one and I’m thinking about refunding part of what the seller has spent by purchasing one or more of my packs, maybe less than 70%, maybe more, maybe also depending on the money initially spent.
for example, if he spent 5 dollars for an asset and then 70 for the complete pack, I get 3.5$ for the first sale and 49$ for the second one. Even if i refund 5$ i still earn 47.5$, that’s not bad!
if a customer has spent 50$ in purchasing several assets and then he buys the complete pack for 70, I get 35$ + 49$. I cannot refund 50$… that would mean to give away the complete pack for free… but maybe giving back 30 or 35$ could be an honest deal, and i still get 15-20$ more than the initial sale.

I think that having back at least part of the money spent, being that 3$ or 30$ is better than having back nothing, right?

And I also thing that this could be a nice way to first get in touch with customers and, second, maybe to sell maybe some more complete pack, who knows!

thanks! that solves my problem!
