How to check the value of a string.

So I’m trying to check if the value of an assigned scene is “USA,” however I always get the message “The type or namespace name ‘String’ could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)” and I can’t seem to fix it. Here’s my code.

using System.Collections;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using UnityEngine;

public class CitiesAndCountry : MonoBehaviour
{

public GameObject WashingtonDCPublicInfo;
public GameObject WashingtonDCPrivateInfo;
public String CountrySelect;
CountrySelect = USA;

void WashingtonDC()
{
    if ( CountrySelect = USA )
    {

        WashingtonDCPrivateInfo.SetActive(true);

    } else {

        WashingtonDCPublicInfo.SetActive(false);

    }
}

}

public GameObject WashingtonDCPublicInfo;
public GameObject WashingtonDCPrivateInfo;
public String CountrySelect = “USA”;

 void WashingtonDC()
 {
     if ( CountrySelect == "USA" )
     {
         WashingtonDCPrivateInfo.SetActive(true);
     } else {
         WashingtonDCPublicInfo.SetActive(false);
     }
 }

I believe it will work
