Depends on the scale and what sort of water you have. For simple flat water, there is already a splash in the standard assets that’s simply an expanding fading smattering of foam particles. Basically, you make a thin box collider at the surface of your water and emit particles based on the speed of any collider that triggers it, at the position where it triggers.
