How to create movement delay similar to Tetris

What I want is to make it so that the player has to hold down the key for a second or two, and then it starts to move slowly, eventually picking up the pace. How would I go about doing this?

If you go into Edit → Project Settings → Input and you pick a specific axis such as Horizontal, you should be able to change settings such as Gravity, **Dead **, and Sensitivity. These all affect how axis input is registered. For example, a lower sensitivity will cause the axis to move slower to the target value, which may be the behavior you’re looking for. Hope this helps!
