How to crop part of an image/texture

Hi all,

I have an image being used as a background texture and need to somehow make part of it rotate, or copy/crop a circular area of the image to be copied to a circular gameobject that will be placed ontop of the background image and then rotated.

Is there any way to make a mesh or plane with a rotatable disc that will allow the disc part to rotate when an image/texture is applied to it?

I have tried many different things but cant seem to get it.
Any ideas or suggestions would really help.

did the help I gave you here http://forum.unity3d.com/viewtopic.php?p=271260#271260 solve this problem?

Hi,

Yes I believe that it has solved my problem.

Just need to try one of my images as a test, as I’m gathering that I can just apply it to the disc at size: 256x256, and it will fit the same way your test image does?

Thanks for your help, much appreciated!
