How to disable weird HDPR effect

If I change my directional light’s filter color from dark to light, the scene gets very bright and then fades to the light color that I had selected. I forgot the name of this effect, but I think it is supposed to simulate what the eye would see when going from a dark area to a light area too quickly. Is this an actual effect in HDPR and if so how do you disable it?

That’s exposure, to ‘disable’ it you have to set it to a fixed value.

Go to your post processing global volume (if you don’t have one, set it up or go to global settings) and change exposure from there. You can set it to fixed so it doesn’t change automatically.
Although if you have multiple locations with different lighting, sometimes you might want to change your fixed exposure value based on location/lighting, you can use a local volume covering the location with a higher priority fixed exposure override for that, or try to set it up with the automatic exposure settings.
