how to display text in Unity Scene in Gear VR

I have read this tutorial - https://forums.oculus.com/community/discussion/16710/new-unity-ui-ovr-look-based-input-howto for displaying text on vr. I am able to see text when i hit play button in Unity(on desktop). But when i build it for android and run app on android device , i am not able to see the text. i can only see 3d objects (cube,cylinder) but not ui element slike button,text.
Note: I am using oculus sdk with unity(ovr camera rig in my unity scene) and my Virtal Reality Supported checkbox is unitck.When i tick it and use ovr camera, then on build for android i get error.

Please post any sample or tutorial on how to show text in Unity Scene in Gear VR .
