How to do Make a mutitextured cube

I want a muti textured cube like a cube with a texture on each side. Please explain it that anyone can understand.

I second @rutter’s suggestion. A modeling program is the easier and preferred method to set uv values for a mesh. But it can be done in code. Here is an answer for how to do it in code for the built-in cube:
