I’m entirely new to Unity and I’m struggling to get my download to work on a USB. Could someone please tell me how to do it step by step? That would be greatly appreciated. Also, should I install Unity Hub on my computer or onto the USB- does it even make a difference?

It makes difference in a sense, since installation register data in computer registries.
Hence, you wont be able to use that copy distribution else where.
My assumption is, you got little space on your drive?
But why you want install software like Unity, on memory stick? Any particular reason otherwise?
Also, memory stick tend to be much slower, than drives. So here is your potential first bottle neck in efficient work. Providing Unity will install in first place (haven’t tried).
Because you seams beginner in terms of computer using, I would advice, download Unity LTS version (not alpha, nor beta) normally on your computer, as steps indicates and install as prompted. You will avoid tons of potential technical issues.
