Hello guys! We are all here because love making games. However, not every person could finish game and create income with that way. I started as indie developer in 2017 year, and now I have huge experience in c# and unity API. Allmost every thing I can imagine, I can do. But how can I earn with that skills? I have no game studios in my town, so permanent job is impossible due lack of working places in our sphere. Also, outsourcing and freelance is not very popular way of development in Russia. I publish some assets in the assets store but it’s still not enough to cover life needs. How do you earn as programmer? Is there a specific forums or places dedicated unity development jobs? Thanks for your answers. I really appreciate your time.

And probably there are a ton of other places where you can appear and/or actively search. Although I do not know, how easy it is to be a freelancer in the industry.
What about enterprise systems and web development? It seems like that’s where all of the programmer jobs are, at least where I come from. That’s not Unity programming but you can always go home and work on Unity as your hobby when you’re done with work.
I was in same boat and decided to get into the edTech, SimVis and serious games industry making enterprise applications using XR tech (currently almost exclusively HoloLens and headmounted AR).
While its not games directly, it is working with unity using all the same tech and techniques, and for what its worth there is far less crunch in my industry compared to games, and its literally like 10x easier to find a job (in my personal experience over last few years).
It also has not stopped my chances of getting a job in the games industry, as the 3 studios near me have been pestering me via linked in to come in for an interview for a role in their programming department pretty much from a couple months into this job right up till now I like where I am though as because I am not working on games all day, it means I have motivation to work on my game when I get home
