How to Find Optimized Asset for Mobile on Asset Store? Any Filter?

hello, is there a way to “filter and sort” mobile-only asset? (or atleast optimized for mobile)
i need environment for mobile game ‘only’. but it seems there’s no filter like that, so i get overwhelming result and must check 1 by 1 (or atleast read the title and description if that asset optimized for mobile or not). so it’s a bit a waste of time looking manually like this

if this feature is not available, please consider adding it to the asset store. so buyer can just choose “optimized for mobile” filter and we get asset we need faster and won’t get wrong asset. (i also see so many seller got bad rating just because the buyer thought their asset can be use for mobile, which is not)

so this is win win solution for both party

anyway, any tips how to find “optimized for mobile” asset on asset store for now?

Define this.
Do you mean low-poly and low texture resolution?

optimized for mobile = developer already though for mobile optimization. and work smooth, no lag.

no, i see many asset developer missleading the “low-poly” title but their asset still not optimized for mobile.
low poly doesnt mean optimized.
many of them intended to make the asset for PC game that have low poly graphic, which is a trend now it seems

Back to the vague area. What is mobile optimization? Phones are computers now.

Depends too much on speed of the specific phone.

The game I’m currently working on is optimized for mobile,

Samsung Galaxy S8 (which is probably faster than my current PC) to be exact.

well, not all people on google play market have fast mobile phone .

lets simply back to topic on this thread :
“any tips how to find “optimized for mobile” asset on asset store for now?”

^
anyone understand this question and want to help?

This is very true.
I have a Lenovo P2 and it’s a monster.
300k tris and still 60fps.
When i started with Unity a few months ago, i was much more conservative with my models.
Now i find other things are more important. Prevent garbage collection in scripts, limit draw calls any way you can and stay away from Unity “standard” stuff.

That’s what I’m trying to tell you. You’re being to vague.

yea but “not all 3d model in asset store are for mobile”
so i need a way to find “3d model that fit (optimized) for mobile”

i think my question is perfectly clear

so the model is not the main factor??

like this for example
seller know he make the asset not for mobile.
BUT he “include mobile ready asset”

so it will be easier if there’s some kind of filter to filter out seller that don’t make mobile ready asset

You’re looking for a function to filter out something that you can’t even define?

How do you know what they know?
The asset looks mobile friendly to me.

looks alone still need tweak here and there, so its not mobile friendly

the define is : mobile friendly, not lag. it mean optimized

come on dont reply this thread if you arent willing to help

Well think again.

I’m trying to understand what you want so I can help you. But you keep throwing the word “optimization” around and expect it to stand as a definite description of an asset.

I asked you if you want low poly assets and you specifically said “low poly doesnt mean optimized.”.
But until

you didn’t even know lower graphics capabilty models are not always the main way to optimize!
Model is main factor if your GPU is bottlenecking, Code is main factor if CPU is!

So start explaining to us what you mean by “mobile optimization” without using the word “optimization” or any of it’s variants and without just listing the consequences of optimization like “work smooth” and “no lag”.

Fine I’ll stop replying after this. Becasue I’m clearly no longer willing to help with all the questions I’m posting I could find out what you want. Poor you. If only we had the magic orb that would show us the contents of your mind and you would’t have to ask nebulous questions

no one know?
well, still looking manually 1 by 1 then

i hope unity have this feature on asset store in the future
