How to get a texture from DirectX

GetNativeTexturePtr retrieves the native pointer corresponding to a texture, as to send it to native code. Is there any way to do the reverse? That is create a texture in the native code and then bring it in the unity environment?

… answering to myself, this is possible for 2D textures but doesn’t seem for 3D textures (which is what I’m looking for) (see https://feedback.unity3d.com/suggestions/add-texture3d-createexternaltexture ).
