i need to display all states of an Animator while runtime.
I iterate through all gameobjects and pick the ones with an animator-componant. Now i need to get the names of all states. They are started via an Http-Interface.
I could get them over the UnityEditor.Animations but this way i cant build this project.
No, i need to activate a state instead of a Clip. Is the animation/state handling different in a build than in the Editor? Or why is there no interface to access them?
When I needed to do this, I cached all the information about the controller at edit time, for use at runtime.
In 2017, you can get all the states through iterating the animators’ playable graph, but what you get there is a struct representation of the graph, and I don’t think you can get the state’s names out of that.
