I have 3 versions of Unity on my computer, 1.2.2, 1.5, etc. Just name the Unity application folders different names for each one. The license file stays the same which resides at HD/Library/Application Support/PACE Anti-Piracy/Unity_v1.x.ilf
Doesn’t work for me.
I deleted the unity folder.
Tried to install an old one.
Unity informed me that there is a newer one (the one i’ve deleted before) still there.
Continued installing.
=> No Unity
Ouch, there must be a Unity .plist hidden somewhere that needs to be deleted that I can’t find. I can’t test this myself, but is there an “Uninstall” option anywhere in the installer?
That sucks taumel. Hopefully someone from OTEE will see this thread today and get you up and running again soon.
None that i’ve seen…
Two common places to look for support files:
Library/Preferences (where I find dk.otee.UnityEditor.plist)
and
Library/Application Support
(Probably in your User library, but also in the main Library at HD root.)
Hi,
nope still doesn’t work. The only thing i could find where configs for the projects. The rest of the Application Folders or Preferences are cleared already.
Is there something like a registry in OSX and a tool to read/find/del stuff?
Are there hidden files in OSX?
Oteeeeee?
By the way is there any version number for the unity plugin?
If i look at the plugins i see it but without a version number…

taumel
Thankfully, no!
Yep…any files that begin with . (a period). There’s a way to show these in the Finder (I forget how), or else you can use the terminal.
Probably should email them directly with an issue like this. Though I’m unsure what the point is in trying to use an older version.

Already did…

Ok so the Unity installer is setup to allow installing older versions of Unity. I don’t know why it wouldn’t allow you to do that but in any case you have to remove the following files:
/Library/Receipts/Unity.pkg/
and
/Library/Receipts/Webplayer.pkg/
Well, if it’s supposed to be working without any manual deletion then there is a bug as i wasn’t able to get it running here…
I´ll report the problem to apple. (We are using default apple installer packages)
Go for it!
Whilst doing so, can’t you also add a note that you have a user which has a clear vision of the next mini they might wanna build?! ;O)
