hey, i downloaded unity 3 and i tried to register it but when I click the big blue Free button it doesn't work, saying i don't have a valid serial??? how do i register it???
The only thing you can really do right now is get the 30 day trial. Its iffy, and took me about an hour to activate. I'm sure within 30 days, they'll have a fix for the free version.
It appears that our activation servers have been overloaded with the amount of activation request coming in after the Unity 3.0 release. Some work has been done to optimize the server workload, so the situation should be much better now. Please retry.
The server activation just worked for me this morning. The manual activation still had problems - taking forever and not registering. So if you downloaded a copy of the Indy version of Unity 3, try running the Unity program application on your computer and then selecting the server activation method. It was quick to register this morning.
