How to get vertex color's alpha channel to work in URP

I am using this shader for a particle system. The problem I am having is that when I attempt to change the particles opacity it just doesn’t work. I am using the URP’s shader graph. I have used this in HDRP and it works fine, but from what I can tell, URP is the pipeline I want for my game.

I know of some temporary fixes, but they aren’t perfect.

Is this just a bug?
